Tincknells is a family-run business with more than 100 years of history, proudly supporting communities across the South West. Our story began in Wells in 1925, when Robert Tincknell established the business as an ironmonger, serving the local community and farming industry.

Over the years, the business continued to grow and evolve, expanding into agriculture, fuels and heating. Today, four generations later, Tincknells has grown into a diverse group of businesses, while remaining true to its local roots and family values.

Tincknell Fuels supplies heating oil and other fuels across the South West, alongside Tincknell Heating, Tincknell Electrical and Tincknell Solar, helping customers heat, power and improve their homes and businesses.

The group has also expanded beyond energy, with Tincknell Property, Storage Factory and Tincknell Country Store providing property services, self-storage, and country, gardening and DIY supplies. We also provide renewable energy solutions, including air source heat pumps, helping customers make their homes and businesses more efficient.

From our beginnings as an ironmongery business in 1925 to the wide range of services we provide today, our purpose remains the same: supporting homes, businesses and communities across the South West, while continuing to grow, adapt and build for future generations.
